This is what’s called a ‘reverse poem.’ It is meant to be read twice, first from top to bottom and then from bottom to top. The complete message is only communicated when the poem is read in that order.
God only tolerates me
I can’t believe
God’s love for me is unconditional
I feel it in my bones
I must earn his love through my efforts
It is silly to believe
His love for me is like the ocean
people say
He loves me more when I work more
I can’t believe
Jesus really paid the price for me
I believe with all my heart
I’m unworthy to receive love
It’s a lie that
I deserve this massive love
It’s time to say
God needs me to work to prove my worth
I don’t believe that
God is love
Now read it again from the bottom to the top!!!
